SLINGSHOT F.A.Q.

You have questions. And we have answers. Here are our some of our most frequently asked questions.
  1. How big is your hand? If you have massive hands, the Pulley series are a great choice. If you have small or medium hands, the Wooden series and Super-Clip series are good choices.Otherwise, an average hand will work with all of our slingshots.
  2. Want the ultimate in ease of use? Then I recommend you the Super-Clip series. This slingshot is the easiest to use ever and can be replaced in less than a second without any tools.

Both can be equally powerful when tuned to the users draw length and projectile. However, flat bands generally retract more quickly and are easier to achieve higher velocities at shorter draw lengths.  Conversely, tubes will generally last longer.

We generally say that 200 shots is a good rule of thumb for flatbands(300 shots is a good rule of thumb for tubes bands.).

Some real world examples: If you shoot your bands at an active band length exceeding 5x elongation, you will see a decrease in band life. If you allow your bands to be exposed to UV, ozone, or petrochemicals, they will break down faster. Pure latex breaks down faster than a latex formula like our SimpleShot Black. If you choose to shoot stones or irregular shaped projectiles, you may (it’s almost certain, honestly) nick or cut your bands while shooting, thus decreasing lifespan.

Long and short….your bands will wear out whether you use them or not.  Latex contains natural proteins that are degrading constantly. In order to keep your bands fresh and last as long as possible, store them away from UV light, chemicals, and ozone when not in use.  If you keep your bands in a cool dark place when not in use, they will serve you much longer than leaving them in your car on a hot day or next to your electronics. In order to keep shooting, you will need to replace your bands regularly.

REAL REVIEWS FROM REAL CUSTOMERS

“Competitive sports equipment with very good workmanship”

Personally, I really like the simple but beautiful design of the twin. A lot of effort has been invested in processing the wooden handle. This is very sturdy, finely ground, polished and painted. The handle can be powerfully wrapped with the hand. This ensures the basic requirement for stable aiming and tightening the rubber. The rest is skill and practice. Inexperienced shooters run the risk of shooting themselves in the hand. Therefore, please carefully familiarise yourself with the sports equipment first.

“NOT a toy but high fun factor”

The first test shots have already surprised and impressed me. The clay balls gain incredible speed and “explode” when hit a fixed target. Very satisfying. The accuracy is also surprising. During target exercises, I actually hit a lamp post about 25 m away in 3 attempts - the other two went off by a hair's breadth. Mind you, I haven't shot with a slingshot for many years and wasn't a champion before. The workmanship of the Slingshot is very good.

“High-quality slingshot”

So this slingshot from Zetterrank makes a very valuable impression. It is neatly made, the package includes everything you need and interacting with it is really fun but be careful, because it's not a toy. The tour is good and almost noiseless. You can put extreme stress on the rubber bands and get a lot of speed. Accurate aiming is up to 10-15 meters with practice but anything above that is associated with luck.

“Strong slingshot”

Beginners should better hold the slingshot at the bottom of the grip and not quite high up as shown in the video, because this makes it painful to whip the elastic band on your hand. You can stretch the elastic band really wide and the clay ball is literally shot out here. Therefore, only adults or children should only be allowed to play with the slingshot under supervision. Because you can also shoot or hurl dangerously quickly here. I really like this handy slingshot, it takes a bit of practice but once you get the hang of it, you can aim really well here and hit various targets even 10-15 meters away, so I recommend it for shooters who want to hurl around.
